This means we can deliver a comprehensive and professional service with a 6.5-metre horizontal capacity or a 3-metre vertical line, offering a very significant processing capacity together with a rapid turnaround.

Pre-treatment is an essential part of the powder coating process and is key to a successful result. We provide a 10-stage conversion coating for aluminium and galvanised steel working to the latest British and European standards, vapour degreasing for mild steel, shot blasting for structural steel and fettling of hot dip galvanised steel.

Powdertech is one of the few coaters to have invested in an in-house stripping facility – in the event of components needing to be reprocessed we use a chemical immersion process in order to reveal the original substrate material without damage or distortion.

Our systems are approved to ISO 9001-2000 and critical processes are independently audited on a regular basis. Pre-treatment chemical pointage and curing oven temperature characteristics processes are regularly monitored as well as final inspection records, film thickness, gloss, and colour. Sample panels are routinely processed for additional testing and long-term storage as a record of process parameters.
